The tablet consists of an outer layer that dissolves in the stomach and an inner layer that dissolves in the intestines. The enzymes break down proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

The use of Combizym has no known side effects or negative effects on adults, pregnant women, foetuses or breast-fed children. The active ingredients are not transferred into breast milk.

Combizym should not be used if you are allergic to one or more of the ingredients. The enzymes in Combizym are Aspergillus oryzae and pancreatin.

The tablets should be swallowed whole. The layer of the tablet that is designed to dissolve in the intestines is damaged if the tablet is divided or chewed. Chewing the tablet or holding it in the mouth could cause damage to mucous membranes in the mouth.
